Florist arranging a bouquet in the studio

Our story

Flowers with heart, wrapped with care.

The Wooden DaisEy was born from a love of blooms, a belief in slow beauty, and a deep desire to make every bouquet feel like it was made just for you.

How it all began

What started as a hobby — gathering wildflowers from local farms and arranging them on the kitchen table — grew into something we never expected. Friends asked for bouquets. Then their friends did. Then strangers at the farmers market stopped to ask where we were from.

The Wooden DaisEy opened its doors in Port St. Lucie, Florida with one simple promise: every arrangement would be made with intention. No filler, no formula. Just flowers chosen for their beauty, their season, and the story they tell together.

Today we serve our community with grab-and-go bouquets, fully custom builds, and special orders for life's biggest moments — from hospital deliveries to wedding days.

What we believe in

Seasonal & local first

We source from local growers whenever possible and let the season guide our palette. What's blooming right now is always the most beautiful.

Made with intention

Every bouquet is arranged by hand. We don't rush the process — the stems, the wrapping, the ribbon — each detail matters.

For every moment

Flowers aren't just for grand occasions. We believe a Tuesday deserves a bouquet just as much as a wedding day.

Rooted in Port St. Lucie

We're a small, local business proud to serve St. Lucie and Martin counties — including free hospital delivery to brighten someone's day.

How we source

Flowers grown close to home

We believe the best bouquet starts long before the wrapping. Our sourcing philosophy is simple: buy local first, buy seasonal always, and never compromise on freshness.

Local farms first

We partner with growers in St. Lucie and Martin counties to bring you stems that were cut within days — not weeks — of reaching your hands. Shorter travel means longer vase life and a smaller footprint.

Seasonal palette

We don't force out-of-season blooms. Instead, we let the calendar guide our colors — ranunculus and tulips in spring, sunflowers and dahlias in summer, warm marigolds and chrysanthemums in fall.

No filler, no formula

Every stem earns its place. We skip the generic greenery bundles and instead choose foliage that complements the blooms — eucalyptus, lush fern, and baby's breath selected for each arrangement individually.

Flower care

Keep your blooms beautiful

A little attention goes a long way. Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your arrangement.

01

Trim the stems

Cut about an inch off each stem at a 45° angle before placing in water. This opens up the stem and allows maximum water uptake.

02

Fresh water daily

Change the water every day or two and rinse the vase. Bacteria build-up is the number one reason flowers fade early.

03

Keep it cool

Flowers last longest away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and ripening fruit. A cool spot on the counter or a windowsill out of direct sun is ideal.

04

Remove wilted blooms

Pluck any petals or leaves that drop into the water right away. Decaying plant matter shortens the life of the healthy stems around it.
